Here's How to Utilize Web Video to Spread The Word out About Your Business|The Important Key To Promoting Your Web Biz With Web Video Content

I'm going to be straight up. Web video is too important for your business to ignore, especially if you haven't even considered your web presence just yet. One just needs to look back a few years at when YouTube was sold to Google by two college students for several billion dollars (Yes, I spelled that with a B on purpose), and this was well before the innovation of other self hosted options such as Amazon S3, EZS3 and Easy Video Player 2.0. Seriously, as a business, you can have video up and running in no time, so why not use it? Its what people are searching for, and its how you can connect with people that are in search of what you have got to offer them.

First things first… if you are even considering creating video's for the web, remember that this is not just about promoting your products or brand. Video as medium is means to be not just engaging, but entertaining. People don't watch video to be bored to death. They watch video to be entertained, and feel like they are really getting something. Make sure that you storyboard a script, and focus on keeping your viewer engaged from start to finish.

If you are using video in order to spread the awareness of your brand or business, consider showing your logo either at the beginning of the video, or towards the end. I also make sure that the lower thirds of the video is water marked in some way with my brand name, my URL, and my name. This helps people get a grasp of who I am, who my business is, and how we can help them.

Another point to remember here is that video is a rank-able medium! Many people still just don't seem to get this either, so there are just so many opportunities here at this point to get your video found! It is still considered extremely easy to rank your video content at the top of Google search results by simply sending some links to the video, and embedding it a few times. A big key element here however is to make sure that your main keyword is present in the title for the video, and within the description as well. This will help it appear as being more relevant.

Now that you have created some video, you have to think about how to publish it. Whilst there are an endless number of video sharing sites on the web, there is nothing quite as professional as having great web content presented in an unbranded video player. For this reason alone, you can use EZS3, or even Easy Video Player 2.0. There are a few other solutions out there as well, but they are less feature rich, but do look great. Combine this with a good quality CDN provider such as Amazon S3, or Media Temple, and you will be well on your way. Trust me, it is worth it. There is nothing quite like having video content to promote your business.
