Work From Home

It is interesting that every time I sit down to write a post to my blog I look for a quote that will inspire others or at the very least, begin to motivate them to think about what it is they are doing in their lives. Today it was cool that the quote I found, is from one of my favorite TV personalities Johnny Carson.

I can recall when I was in my twenties every night I would rarely go to bed before watching his show. In my area eastern Canada, that meant staying up till 2:00 a.m. which was OK when your in your twenties, ten feet tall and seemingly bullet proof. That was a time that I was the happiest, I was young, great ideas and little fear of not getting out of life what I wanted. After all I had quit school not completing grade eight, had a job and finally had my car, life was good.

I was working for myself and enjoying every minute of it. I worked with friends, we all pulled our weight and life was good. Then when things changed and I had to close my Sony store, I had to take a job with not only a company I did not know but one that was a competitor from what I was used to.

It has always been my belief that people do business with people not companies. Relationships are built in business based on the people, if they are honest we tend to trust them. Then if something comes up regarding price or services not only can we find a way to make things work, we want to, to retain that trust.





Some of the longest business relationships I have had are with folks that give me a feeling of trust. I in turn do the same for them and that is why 25 years later we still work with one another.

We are now living in a world that is changing rapidly. We can do almost anything online with people all over the planet. Therefore we have many new opportunities that were not even thought of 20 years ago. In my first business we did not even have a computer in the building. Today there are seven in my home and only three people and that does not count smartphones and tablets.

I see so much more that is happening opening the door for the next generation. I used to think they are lazy and entitled, not so much today though. They very well may be onto something that will give them a better quality of life. They are right on and have a pretty good handle on the fact that they do not want to do meaningless jobs just to exist. For the most part they are not crazy or entitled, they are smart, looking to live lives of freedom and prosperity doing things they love and are passionate about.

You have the power to make a choice and change the direction of your life. I was fortunate to have had several mentors in my life. Two of them have given me some pretty interesting insight into earning money on the internet. That gives me a way to work from home and do something that I love doing, the best part, I get to share it with others and help them change their own lives.

There are tons of options out there don't be afraid to look and learn. Regardless of what you choose make sure you are in control of your business and partner up with folks that have the same principles you believe in.

Here are a few things I have learned and placed them together in a report that can help you to get an understanding of what is important, should you decide to venture into online marketing. I will say this having owned several bricks and mortar retail businesses. Being able to communicate with your clients is important, today it is even more so when doing business online. Just think about it, you are now open to billions of people not just those in your community. You are now able to market your knowledge or products world wide. Everyone has a talent, everyone has a skill set that they are good at. Why not use what you have learned and make some money in the process.

Search and explore your options, spend more time in your life doing the things you want to do instead of commuting back and forth to a job that you are not feeling appreciated in. Perhaps you are recently retired but not ready to quit and would like to have more income to travel. Or you took a package from your company and now want to supplement that income to do things you have always wanted to do.

Whatever the reason take some action and start something new for you! A business of your own so you can enjoy a life of freedom and prosperity doing something you are passionate about, in a community that motivates you to grow and be all you can be in life.
